Storage / NovaBackup V14 will not instal...

I have a LS420 and i type in the serial number and it tells me I get novabackup V14, but it will not install in windows 11, it keeps telling me the installer ended prematurely, and wont install, probably because of security?  can I use an updated version of novabackup?

I select the 'Upload Files' option using the WebAccess app but it only lets me pick photos from my library on the iPhone. It doesn't let me pick a document. What am I doing wrong?

Storage / 5800d max hard drive size?

I have looked everywhere and I cam not find a definitive answer. I have (2) 5800dn nas thqt both came with (8) 4tb drives in each one. I am maxed out in storage and wanted to upgrade the drives.

What is the largest drive size that I can replace the current 4tb drives with?

Nope, not resolved. I stopped using it in auto mode and simply switched it on and off. A couple of days back, it again hung booting up with the blue light continuing to flash. It's pingable but not fully powered up. Sure, I can rebuild it again... until the next time it goes.

I've no idea what's going wrong but I no longer care. It's for the bin I'm afraid.

LS-WXL not in raid, two shares (one brand new, one old)
old share is fine
the brand new share has no 'trashbox'
it is enabled in settings (of course)
I have tried disable>restart> enable>restart
I have tried check disk in the array then a restart

nothing works, Yikes!!
pointers anyone?

UPDATE - THE TRASHBOX WILL ONLY APPEAR AFTER A FILE HAS BEEN DELETED - UNTIL THEN IT IS INVISIBLE..*

Hmmm, mine's working now. After a complete wipe and rebuild (as mentioned elsewhere), it burst into life again. I'm using port 465 with smtp.gmail.com, LOGIN(SMTP-AUTH), SSL/TLS with the same app password that I use with my email client.

...and I spent ages crafting a tftp solution to work around it!

Finally I got it working by using an Ubuntu based Linux machine.
Just typed in the path and it worked like a charm right from the start!
So it seems to be a Windows problem.
On the other hand, some settings like scheduled recording, had not been available with Linux.

I think I've resolved it. Touch wood.

I did a total wipe and rebuild. That is, reflash stock firmware then log in and reset to defaults AND zero disks (took over 24 hours with 2 x 500gb drives). Yep, I went belt and braces! It seems simply reflashing firmware does not restore the bit of 'ware that handles the auto-sleep function... wherever that might reside.

It's been stable for 3 days now in auto-sleep mode with my custom scripts handling the sleep functioning. (No Windows nor NasNav)

If anyone's here/reading. Documented for posterity's sake. :)
