[Terastation] Disabling Anonymous FTP Access?

I want to disable anonymous FTP access to my Terastation (TS-HTGL/R5 F/W 1.33) so that it prompts for a username and password whenever accessed. I followed the instructions on the Buffalo website and created user 'anonymous' with a bogus password, but it doesn't seem to change anything. Even typing in ftp://anonymous@etc.etc.etc wouldn't prompt for a password. Am I missing something?

Also, since multiple users with varied permissions will be accessing the server, I really want to avoid having the username in the URL.

Thanks
