Secure Lock Ware (US/Europe/Asia)

vs.

Secure Lock Ware + GUARD (Japan) since 2006

Hi,

There are 2 different kind of Encryption software I mentioned above in use with the same products (not matter if they are purchased in the US or in JP). If the HD are compatible under US/JP Os, the drivers however are not and the US/EU/Asia HD can only use Secure Lock Ware, while JP HD can only use the Secure Lock Ware + GUARD.

Since Buffalo is Japanese why can't we have the same software (and it's translation) in every countries for the sake of compatibility (as it was the case prior 2006), or a HD driver compatible with both. Secure Lock Ware is very old and Secure Lock Ware + GUARD (the replacement) is not new either (in Japan since 2 years). It is the same basic encryption functionality + folder encryptions. It is unavoidable with Japanese products, since Buffalo is Japanese.

In a mix language environment (US/JP) that's really a pain. Japanese HD Drives cannot be accessed unless to use the japanese SLW+Guard (no English version) and US HD Drives cannot be access either on JP PCs. That is just a ridiculous marketing decision of stone age.

You make a good point, admsupport. I will forward a request to see if we can obtain an English version of SecureLockWare + GUARD.
