Hi,

Any help for this matter? Nas Navigator is 2.41 and FW for Linkstation is 1.64. I would appreciate any help. This happens with every browser.

Kind Regards,

Thanks but I can't find any mobile icon. I am using Web UI via my local computer.

Reset to factory defaults via the web admin page (if you can reach it) if not then reflash the firmware and then reset it.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

I have the same issue after upgrading from 1.62 to 1.64, using the Mac updater.

Have not tried resetting to factory defaults yet. Will report once I do...

Resetting to factory default settings appears to have made no difference. Anyone know the procedure/firmware links for downgrading, or have any other suggestions?

I upgraded from 1.56 to 1.64.  Both were painfully slow.  I don't see any point in downgrading, unless it's to something older than that.

I'm using Chrome 23.0.1271.97 m and IE 9 64 bit, both current, and don't see a significant difference between the two.

It seemsI did a mistake buying this device. There are plenty of reviews about this device and even "one star" reviews because this issue. Slow (and timeouts) Web GUI is feature.

Connect the LS directly to the PC via ethernet cable, set a static IP on the PC to match the Linkstations range, then test the GUI access.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Thanks for the reply. LS is directly connected via ethernet cable and IP is set like you suggested (always been).

davo

Did you follow the instructions to reset and reflash the firmware?

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Yes. Product is badly designed.  I give up.

I disagree, but if you have a faulty unit (which you appear to) then unfortunately can happen from time to time.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

It seems about a day after I upgraded the firmware, the web UI has stopped timing out, although still a bit slower than I'd like. Speed has picked up as well, thought still less than 23-25 MBps write I was seeing with 1.62. Might still try to reflash like davo suggested. Is this the link for doing that davo: http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-2-of-5-Force-Firmware-update-procedure/td-p/100317">http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-2-of-5-Force-Firmware-update-procedure/td-p/100317 ?

Perhaps there's some re-indexing operation that takes place after upgrading to 1.64 that caused the slowdown?
