Hello.

I am trying to create a backup job on my linkstation duo and every time I click on the 'Create New Job' button, it pauses for about 10 seconds, then I get a pop-up stating

"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding.  You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete."

"Script: http://<IP address>/static/ext/ext-all.js:137"

The script never does complete, and I end up having to force close the browser and reopen.  This happens in both IE as well as Firefox from a Win7Prox64 machine.  Also verified same issue happens on WinXP machine as well.

This worked a week ago when I first set up the backup job, but I wanted to modify it today and ran into this issue, so I deleted the job and now I cannot create a new one.

I have rebooted the Linkstation twice and it does not help.

Running firmware 1.56

Please advise if you have any solutions.  Thanks.

Exact same issue here as well. Seems like a bug in ver 1.56, hopefully they fix it. I'm having this issue with Linkstation pro with ver 1.56

I will take a look at one of these units and test the issue myself. I apologize for the delay in response. If it is an issue on my device then I will escalate the issue for you to our engineers.

Ok sounds good.  BTW, this is after conecting up an external USB drive.

We have tested this on our unit and this is not a firmware bug. We do not get the same error. Here are a few suggestions.

Re-install your firmware : http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-2-of-5-Force-Firmware-update-procedure-please-read-this/td-p/68108" target=_blank>http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-2-of-5-Force-Firmware-update-procedure-please-read-this/td-p/68108

Try to restore your interface: Go to system -> restore/erase and choose restore. This does NOT delete data.

Try another browser and or computer.

tweakmon

OK I will try your suggestions.

Obviously, as stated in the original post, I have tried different computers with different OSes, so that is not the issue.

I will report back what I find out.

"Try to restore your interface: Go to system -> restore/erase and choose restore."

The above suggestion was the solution for me.  Granted it took some time to reconfgiure the settings, I did NOT loose any arrays or data.

Thanks fro the help.

Restore didn't work for me. Anyone ever find a solution to this? I'm experiencing it now
