I have just purchsed an HD-PNTU3 and loaded about 1TB of video on it. However after just 3 weeks the hardrive is no longer being recognised as a storage device. Instead it is coming up as a CD Drive in both My computer and Device Manager. It looks like when the HD is plugged in it installs the virtual cdrom software.  I have already tried the following:

Using the device on another laptop (same thing happens)

Changing the drive letter manually

Screaming and shouting

None have worked so far so can somebody try and talk me through the steps to read this hardrive as the footage on there is very important!

-Right-Click on "My Computer"

-Choose "Manage". This will open a Computer Management screen

-Click on "Disk Management"

-Look for a "Disk1" or Disk2" etc. that approximately matches the Buffalo's capacity.
