Linkstation Quad LS-QL DLNA w/ PS3 and Bittorrent folder/file delete problems fixed

The new firmware 1.04 for the Linkstation Quad has a number of fixes:

- Solve DLNA sever compatible problem with Sony's PS3.
- Solve unable to delete folder and files created by BitTorrent function.
- Fixed unable boot up system when disk failure error happens.
- Solve unable to change password by new created user login.

 

Youmay run into problems with the Media Server after the firmware update.Reset the device to defaults (Maintenence->Initialization, Restore),then perform the following steps from KB#000255 (http://www.buffalotech.com/knowledgebase/users/kb.php?id=10260&category_id=0&sid2)

SOLUTION:

       Openup the Web Admin tool by entering the hostname or IP address of theunit into your favorite browser. Enter Admin ID and password. Click onMedia Server tab in the left hand menu. Check the box titled Refreshnow at the bottom of the page, then click the Apply button.This willrefresh the files in the Media Folder so they can be seen by the Mediaplayers.


We're currently working on firmware for the other devices to address these problems.

Can you post a link to Mac OS X version of this firmware. It's not available from download page. Bittorrent issue is driving me nuts - would be nice to have it resolved.

As I noted in the other thread you asked in, we only have the Windows updater for firmware 1.04. I'll request that a Mac version be created.
