Hi.

Few days ago, I bought 2 X defective terastation pro unit (TS-HTGL/R5). They both got hit by a power surge and blew out.

I was able to fix the power supply, re-install firmware 1.33 & 1.35 thru TFTP and successfuly mount 4 X 1TB in RAID 5.

Everything is working fine except the display.

Both motherboard were dammaged by the power surge and both IC33 are gone (they exploded !)

Is it possible to know the part # of this IC33 ?

It's a small surface mount IC with 4 pins.

It's located near the power supply connection (1 inch right to the power connector on the top of the motherboard)

Here's a picture I found on the net.

Thanks !

I have a similar issue.  May I ask how you were able to fix the power supply?

stfontaine

I replaced few capacitor on the power supply.

Those terastation are still working today !

As for the IC33, it's a voltage regulator. I was able to replace it for a 75 ohms resistor if I remember corectly.
