After first install, haven't  been able to get LS to refresh media server library.

Added many new files in many different fileformats (ie. movies, pictures, music).

At media server: Refreshed, changed share folders, stopped/restarted, waited overnight, nothing helps.

Done also full restrore, rebootet several times, and installed latest DTCP-IP & FW but nothing.Only the initial set of files are beeing shared via mediaserver.

Any ideas how to delete/reinitialize the database?

It seems like you've already done all the stuff required to fix this issue. I'll test this out tonight for you and see what I get.

Did you try restarting the Twonky Media server?  You can access it by adding port 9050 to the IP address, for example http://192.168.1.107:9050" target="_blank">http://192.168.1.107:9050.  Then select Media Settings.  Select the First Steps link at the top left, then click the Restart Server button at the right of the page.  I had similar issues and that seemed to help refresh the listings on my DLNA devices.

In 1.40 the twonky http page is empty (in IE & Firefox) ? So nothing to be done there? Port responds so twonky is running, but no GUI there...this is getting really annoying...no homevids via PS3 to TV for me anytime soon is suppose.

No one should still be running 1.40 if you are in the USA. 1.40 was pulled. You should be back to 1.37. With this firmware I know that the linkstations work just fine with the ps3 running 3.56 firmware. I use it every day. Granted I have to basically reset the network settings on my ps3 almost every time I turn on the ps3 to see the linkstation, but I highly doubt that is a problem with the linkstation because my Win7 pcs see the Buffalo instantly.

Thanks for your reply, I am not in US, 1.40 FW is still available at Europe site, but eitherway had exactly same problem with 1.37...so nothing new there.

AND this is not a PS3 -- XHL problem, same issue with Win7 media player. Any new pictures, movies, music added to XHL is not added to twonky database  (or some other DLNA indexing, i'm not that geek to understand this deeply) and thus not available via DLNA (IN ANY DLNA CLIENT). As stated earlier, every possible reinit / reinstall tried...

I registered for this forum just to reply to this four year old thread to say THANK. YOU. for posting this. It was EXACTLY what i needed to have my database rebuilt. Had no idea this hidden Twonky site existed. This had been bothering me for months. You're the best. Thank you. I hope you're still alive.
