Question about Time Machine backups

I am using the Time Machine backup feature from my MB. The first time it ran I received the error about not being able to create a disk. After that it started working by itself.

My question is what is there a need to enter in hostname and MAC address? For my initial backup I connected my MB to my wired LAN so it would go quicker. In the future I'll be on my WLAN which means my MAC address will change. Is this going to matter? Are you limited to one hostname/MAC pair?

Thanks

Adam

You are not limited however you will need to submit the MAC address for the new card.  This information is used for security purposes.

Actually just found out that Apple will always use the MAC address for en0, even if you switch to wireless. After I switched to wireless, my backups are still working.
