I have an older HD-HLAN 120 that I would like to replace the hard drive with a larger drive.  Can I do this and if so how?

Thanks.

Paul

You can Google how to take a part a linkstation for directions on that, however replacing the drive will be harder.  The drive is going to require a boot loader to build the boot partition on the hard drive.  You will need third party software for this.

I also have HD-H160LAN (F/W 2.05) and it is making unusual noise.  I have backed up the drive and would like to replace the drive.  I just happen to have a brand new Maxtor 320Gb (16Mb/7200RPM) - is it possible to replace it?
