Is there a way to gracefully shutdown the Duo via the web interface?  I have it on my Pro Duo - but I can't find it on my Duo.

-Go into the Web Interface

-Click on "System"

-Click on "Maintenance"

You'll see the Shut down option on this page.

Unfortunetely no there is not.  Unless you create one on your own.

In deferance to the above - There is no option to shutdown the linkstation in version 1.34 - when you go to System->Maintenance there are only 2 options.

a) Email Notification; and

b) Restart the linkstation

Any other ideas?

with any of the units with an auto/on/off switch there is no option to shutdown the unit via the GUi. Your only option is to move the switch at the back to "Off"

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Not true - I can gracefully shut down my old Pro Duo - it supports a shutdown and restart.  Please see Maintenance->Restart->Shutdown.  If one looks through the manual for the more modern Duo, there are all kinds of cautions against just turning it off (to shut it down), during various operations (makes sense), but why can't this seemingly simple and much needed function be added to the Duo?  It looks like there are plenty of programmable facilities to handle this (through the UPS shutdown processm, etc).

I'd like to motion and suggest that the ability to gracefully shutdown the Duo via the web interface be added to the next release of the firmware.

Old post, yes, but here's what I have observed.  When moving the power switch to off the unit takes some time to power down.  The blue light on the front of the unit will blink for a time before the drives stop spinning and fan stops spinning.
