LS-WXL850 Media Server not showing files

Hello All,

I have a Linkstation Duo (LX0WXL850) running firmware 1.34.  I use a 1st gen PS3 for streaming content (.mts, .mpg).  Recently, the media server stopped showing new files on the share.  After several attempts at refreshing, the media server now no longer shows any files (old or new) in certain shares.  I've tried the following:

- Force firmware downgrade to 1.24.  This corrected the media server's db issues (files are now visible), but it seems the media server cannot handle large files well.  For example, I have some 4+GB .mts files that will play ok, but I cannot rewind them using the PS3.  1.34 (when it worked) was able to do so.  A 1.24 did have an additional checkbox on the media server settings page for re-initializing the db.  This is missing in 1.34.  I upgraded back to 1.34.

- Moved files to new share.  Files are still not visible in new share.

- Removed new content from share, keeping original set of .mts files that worked.  They still do not show up in the media server.

- Tried browsing the media server with an XBox 360.  Same result, so I don't believe the PS3 is at fault.

- Performed "Restore Linkstation" on Restore/Erase page.  No luck.

- Confirmed that the system time on the Linkstation is correct.  I noticed in another post that an invalid time could result in this behavior.  It is now correct, but problem remains.

The files are still accessible using a windows share, just not visible with the media server.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?  I have not yet done an erase.  That's my next step.  I fear it may work temporarily after the erase and that there is a deeper issue.

Thanks,

Scott

Yes, I have also experienced this problem. BUT I live in France and, for this reason, can't receive help here.

I'am very surprised that you are the first, after me, to have this problem. For the moment, I run 1.24.

Cheers,

Frank
