Undetected Buffalo HD-PE500U2

Good afternoon sir. same problem here. My Buffalo HD-PE500U2 was bought in Singapore and unfortunately after using it for several years already (3years), when attached to my PC it becomes now undetected. I also tried looking at the Disk management but still can not see it. Also the blue led light initially lights up and then after 2-3 secondsits gone. And I can't seem to Access it anymore. Please tell me what to do, Thank you in advance

There is not much that can be done about this.  Either the drive or the SATA to USB 2.0 bridge has failed, for recovery options, professional services is strongly recommended

I had similar problem before and I later solved it by using a short USB cable (20 cm) --- in this way the losses (power as well as signal) are minimized. Try it and let me know.  Rgds, YC
