linkstation wxl blue power light continues to flash

I have tried forcing the firmware update but when i right click on the pop-up it does not give option d.  I continue with the update it seems to do something does not ask for admin password.  After about 5 minutes blue power light continues to flash and cannot access workstation if i power off and power on it says in em mode.  Turned all security off while performing update.  Help please.
