fan error

linkstation160 is not working.  light blinking 4 times, which manual says is fan error. 

 

so how is this supposed to be fixed?

I imagine that the device is not in warranty, since it's an older unit. You can replace the fan, the part number is AD0412LX-G76 (see http://www.addausa.com/model_index.htm" title="http://www.addausa.com/model_index.htm" class="external free" target=_blank>http://www.addausa.com/model_index.htm for more information). If the device was purchased within 1 year, you may call our support line to obtain a warranty replacement.
