Hello,

I  have a TeraStation Pro TS-HTGL/R5 Firmware1.33 NAS.

I would like to connect to the NFS share Folder /mnt/array1/Archive as a NFS mount drive to a windows 2008 server.

The drive letter I would like to mount as is O:\

From what I have read on microsoft you have to add a role called File Services and select the option Network Storage.

I am stuck on the command line to mount the NFS drive to /mnt/array1/Archive

 To mount an NFS shared resource to a drive letter using the command line
  1. Open a command prompt (this does not need to be an elevated command prompt).

  2. At a command prompt, type the following:

mount [–o Options] ComputerName:\ShareName {DeviceName | *}

or

mount [–o Options] \\ComputerName\ShareName {DeviceName | *}

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Sidney

Or you could go to Start->All Programs->Accessories->Run and type in:

  1. \\[IP_of_NAS]
  2. Press Enter
  3. Right click on the shared folder and choose "Map Network Drive"

The wizard should open up, walk through the steps and you should be good.

I need the drive to be seen as a local drive and not as a network mounted drive.

Can anyone help with mounting the NAS as a local drive?

Thanks
