No LS-QLSettings.txt file on my Mac

Hi,

 

I use an iMac with Snow Leopard and can't find my new Linkstation Quad 4TG with NASNavigator2.

I think the problem is the missing LS-QLSettings.txt file. Where can I find this file?

Who has this file and can maybe send it to me.

Please verify that only 5 lights are on the face of the unit when active, a solid blue power light and 4 green lights, 1 for each disk.  If that is fine please try connecting the unit directly to the iMac and see if it is noticed this way.

I'm able to ping the Linkstation. Also I can reach the NAS via Server connection and use it.

So, my LAN works fine.

But, I'm without of success with the NASNavigator2 ver.2.26.. :-(

The installation pocedure describe a config file on the desktop called LS-QLSettings.txt, which is missing!

Is there a specific reason for needing NAS Navigator, since you can access the unit you can place the IP address in a web browser and configure the settings there if necessary?  What are you ultimately trying to do with the unit, you may not even need the file that is being questioned

Hi,

 

as I know, I'll be able to wake-up the NAS from the sleep-mode (Power mode Auto) with the NASNavigator2.

NAS will automacly switch on and off. This is a great function! And I want this function.

 

Who can help? Am I alone with this problem?

Is there anybody who has this file?

I will look into this on our end to see what may be happening to prevent the file from being generated on Snow Leopard.
