Can't access USB drive

Hello,

I'm from Kuwait and please excuse my english, i'm having problem with my BUFFALO External HDD USB Device T1

 i use the external on computer and PS3 for several months now i was transferring some data 3 days ago and while transferring my PC suddenly turned off, now i can't access the USB drive anymore although its recognized under "Device Manager" (windows XP) but it doesn't shows up under the "Hard Disk Drives", so i tryed to Disable it and enable it from device manager and nothing happened (uninstall is still an option but i'm afraid of losing all my files so i'm not touching that for now).

 

and yesterday, the AutoPlay showed up in 15 minutes after plugging the external into my PC and it took longer then usual, after that the External was recognize under the "Hard Disk Drives" but when i click on it the PC just freezes (its not the PC problem i tried this on different PC's already)

 

the PS3 also freezes all of the sudden after 3 min from plugging.

 

please help and again excuse my english
