HD-CE1.0TU2 - Where are my files?

Probably a stupid question - but I can't help it, I'm a technology illiterate.  I have backed up over 9000 files to my HD-CE1.0TU2.  I know they are there because I recently scanned the external hard drive and it did a nice tidy count for me.  No problem.  However, when I go into windows explorer and select the external drive, it only shows a handful of files.  Why can't I see all my files?  My internal drive failed and I had to install a new one.  I want to copy my 9000 files to my new internal drive but I don't know how to do it if I can't see them.  What obvious solution am I missing here?

first thing to look at is do you have any of the folders labeled as hidden to the point that they will not show up.  you will need to enable the show hidden folders option from folder managemnt.

OK, thanks.  I'll give that a try.  I've got the "show hidden files" box checked, but don't believe I've ever seen a "show hidden folders" selection.  I'll have to look for that.

your are correct, i mistyped my information, i apoligize about.  if you do a properties check does it  still show the 9000+ files.

Yes - well, it shows about 60GB of used space - which would be about the size of those 9000 files.  So I feel like the data is there.  I just don't understand why I can't see it or access it.  I did a Norton scan and that's where I got the number of files & folders scanned.
