Problem with the firmware on HS-DH500GL

Hi,

 

I have a Linkstation Live, and it lost the firmware configuration. I tried to update with LSUpdater, but I didn´t have any good result. Today if I use the NASNavigator the information about the Linkstation are below:

I tried to use the ACP_COMMANDER to reset the EM Mode, but I didn´t have any success. The ACP_COMMANDER show the information below about the LinkStation:

I would like to know if is it possible to recovery the firmware or if is it possible to recovery the data inside the HDD?

Open up the NAS, unscrew the hdd & detach the sata daughterboard frm the hdd.

Connect the hdd to a linux computer & watch as it gets mounted as 3-4 partitions on your Linux desktop. The biggest partition contains your share folders & data.

thank you for the answer. More one question:

 

My NAS is showing a error, but I can´t identified the code, it show 6 (six) shorts flashes on red light with beeps.

 

Do you know what is this?

The problem you have is the same problem that lots of people have with firmware 2.21 thats been posted on here and many other forums but for some reason Buffalo seems not to be intrested and still lets it's mods keep replying to the complaints as if its a user problem.

 

Why it's not been removed from download and they are still letting people brick their units is beyond me . ?

Unless you can get hold of an older firmware for that NAS, otherwise I hope Buffalo might be working on a solution at the moment...just got to take it easy...

If you bothered to read the thread i posted then  you would know that the older firmware no longer works on linkstations upgraded to 2.21.

What the he'll are you talking abt? I'm currently using 1.5 on my linkstation live and I got it downgraded from 2.21. What a load of cake!

If it's a load of cake then tell everybody that has a locked up linkstation in this thread that can now now longer respond to any firmware after upgrading to 2.21 as it just greys out.

 

If you used the telnet hack to do it then thats not official so too the average user it's not cake.
