Linkstation Quad Direct copy - Mac filesystem unsupported?

I have a USB drive connected to my LS Quad, and in the GUI the drive is detected, however total capacity and file format show up as Not Detected. The USB drive (A G-Drive 1TB) is formatted with Mac JFS.

Is this unsupported, perhaps? I have about a terabyte to copy over, and it's going to be rather painful to go over the wire with it - direct copy was one of the main reasons that I bought this unit as opposed to other, less expensive solutions.

Cheers!

It would appear that direct copy is just poorly implemented.

I'm reading the manual - where is any kind of status that the copy is happening? I plug the USB drive in, the light comes on, I push function, and then nothing happens. There is one page in the manual regarding DC, and it offers little by way of explanation.

This is incredibly frustrating, and unacceptable from a five hundred dollar piece of home network equipment.

Do you still have the USB drive in the OSX based format?  For use as a backup device with this NAS device the disk will need to have a format of XFS, EXT3, or FAT32.
