Hi,

Just bought the LinkStation Pro Duo 1TB, and have found out that the backside power outlet connector is somehow loose, and puts out weird metallic noise when I connect or disconnect the power cable or move the cable a little from side to side when it is connected. It's as if the connector was touching some parts inside the case while it moves a little.

Is this a feature of the unit, and safe, or...

Do you think that the connector is broken, and that I should replace the unit? I don't want to risk any electrical fires due to a bad connector etc.

The unit operates normally, and I don't see any effects from moving the connector, other than the metallic sound coming from inside the unit.

Loose connecters are not features of the unit.  I would contact your support team they can RMA it and get that fixed for you.
