My Buffalo TurboUSB HD have some problems now, or should I say it has been now for over half year. Well when I put power on in my HD it takes for few hours to start, sometimes it takes more to get start.. well but now its not wanna even to connect my PC. Yesturday it didnt even start.. so I was unable to access to my HD..

IS my HD broken or it has some problem.. I really would like to get it work.

My Buffalo HD-HS500U2 is now over ~2years old. I really would like to access to my files, whats in my HD.

All lights are working fine in HD, sometimes when I get it work it ask me to format again. last time when I got start it only asked to format and after that I didnt see my HD in my PC.

Can someone help in this problem.

You can try updating the firmware once you get the unit powered up. But it sounds like the motherboard on the unit is failing. If you are able to successfully update the firmware you should be able to get to you data. If not you may want to consider data recovery optons.
