Hi

I have a new Terrastation Pro II.  My old failed with E04, f/w upgrade didn't come up, so got a new unit.

It shows 1000mbps connection to a netgear switch, which connects to another netgear switch to my Computer connected at 1000mbps too.

To restore my files, I am copying files from the usb WDBook 1TB backup drive (xfs, connected to the new Terrastation) directly to my HD on the Vista machine and am seeing 2.5MBps, and from USB drive right to Raid drive in terrastation through the PC, gets 150KBPS!!!!!!

Should I see 35MBps on a 1gig connection?

And disk to disk thru a pc at 150KB is ridiculous!

The Terrastation is a 4tb unit running latest fw 1.33-1.32

What is it doing wrong?

make sure the firmware is up to date, and you can also try to adjust the jumbo packet sizes under the network tab.
