Hello everyone,

I have a Terastation WS5220DNW6 8TB (2x4TB) with Windows Storage Server 2016. The system is fully compatible with Windows Server 2025, meeting the minimum system requirements, except of course for some features (such as those requiring TPM). I installed the trial version of Windows Server 2025 Standard and, as expected, it works without problems. I would therefore like to purchase a license and update the operating system. The problem is that I cannot find the preinstalled programs anywhere: Buffalo Dashboard and the others. In the recovery SD there is an image of WSS 2016 and the support files, including the Buffalo standard software, with a series of Windows Shell and CMD commands that, once the files are correctly positioned, I'm abble to recall them and start the installation procedure. By the way, an extremely difficult mechanism. Nevertheless, I cannot make Dashboard and other system settings work (such as display brightness control). Is there a way to properly install these programs? Thank you very much.

PS I am extremely disappointed with Buffalo's software support, which I consider the worst of all the NAS I own and in general the worst of all the "big" electronics brands. One of those manufacturers that wants you to understand that the product is NOT yours, you are not the real owner. This is all my humble opinion, I do not require you to agree with me.
