I was trying to get SlimServer to run on my LS-CHL. All attempts at using stock firmware failed. I tried to load FreeLink_arm9-1.0rev2. I deleted the u-boot file and ensured the Update Boot box was unchecked. LSUpdater gave a few messages that it could not open files and the LS restarted with normal blinking blue LED which turns to solid orange LED. Will not connect to network. Restarted multiple times same result.

Is there a EM Mode for this device? Any was to force a stock firmware write? Over USB? I dont care if I loose all data.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Take a look at this link http://buffalo.nas-central.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=13551&p=102376#p102376

There is a method to backup a linkstation LS-CHL and restore it.

Best reguards,

Hello,

I m also stucked with orange light , and no network  so unable to activate telnet.

Disassembling the LS-CHL is the only solution to get access to it ?

I mean .. back up and restore method will only be possible once you can have access to the Linkstation..

Reset to Factory settings pressing function button while booting is doing nothing at all.

Any idea ?

Thks
