hd-hcu2 not recognized

i have a HD-HCU2 drive station and i havent used it in a while.I connected it to my pc and the green light came on,then an orange light and a message telling me that the 'usb device not recognized.I checked my systems usb ports and was told that they are all working so any ideas?model HD-HC160/U2-R. s/n.95283261104191G.Thanks.

Try it on another computer, see if you are able to see it in disk management, by right clicking on computer or my computer and go to manage.  Then go to disk management, see if the drive has any information in the disk management, see if you can do a disk check, or right click and explore.  You do have a 1 year warranty with a valid proof of purchase.
