Currently we have a box at the datacenter that serves as our backup storage.

Transfer speeds from the box to another server will take in excess of 20 mins for a 1 gig file.

Here is the model number LS-WTGL/R1-V3 F/W 3.09

Is there somethign we can do? upate firmware?

If so. Where is the firmware located? link please. and instructions for updating the firmware.

Thanks.

OBTW. I've been looking online for the firmware. but you need a serial number to download the firmware.

Where can I obtain the serial number?

I dont' have access to the device. it's in a datacenter in Maryland.

Go to our website, support > downloads, select your product by name or model and download 3.10.  Download it and extract it, then run the Updater.exe program.  Make sure the NASNAVI is closed out and all of your firewalls are disabled, then click update.   If you have any problems

The only way I know of to get the serial number is off of the unit itself.

dimitris

does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade to 3.09? This latest update, 3.1, isn't working out at all. If it's possible, can i have the link? thanks.

Euplectello

Sorry, where did you say is firmware version 3.10 available ?

I just looked and the latest available version for the LS-WTGL is 3.09 ...

BTW, I have the same download speed problem. When I download from

my linkstation via webaccess (redirected via DYNDNS) I get incredibly

low download speeds around 7 kb/s. I have checked all my network

and internet connections but there is definitely no other bottleneck.

I would appreciate any suggestions or experience from Buffalo or

fellow users !

Thanks in advance !

@Euplectello  can you post the link to this?

Dustrega

I believe what you're looking for might be ftp://24.153.165.234/disk1/share/LS%20Pro%20Duo/" target="_self" rel="nofollow">here.

Euplectello

@Dimitris: The download site is: http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/downloads/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/downloads/

and the link to the firmware 3.09 file is: http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/getfile/?LS-WTGL-V3_FwUp_309.zip" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/getfile/?LS-WTGL-V3_FwUp_309.zip

@Dustrega: Can you please shed some light on the files behind the link which you have posted ?

Is it the file lswtglv3-310b.zip which upgrades to firmware 3.10 and which fixes the download speed ?

How come it is not available under the above mentioned link ?

Best regards !
