I have just had to buy a new computer and I can not get the NAS Navigator2 software to install on it. Here are the particulars:
LinkStation Duo LS-WXL489

Old pc was Windows 10 Pro 21H1 32bit upgrade from Windows 7 Pro
everything worked fine on old pc.

New pc is Windows 10 Pro 21H1 64bit clean install of Windows
when I try to install NAS Navigator2, it says "Setup cannot be completed" "Failed LinkStation setup" even though it placed an icon on the desktop and NAS Navigator2 will run and looks just like it did under Windows 7. I can also access the NAS through my browser and it seems to be just like it was under Windows 7.  BUT... it does not show up under Network in explorer. When I click the desktop icon, NAS Navigator2 opens and appears normal - size, percentage used, ip address etc. - but the Browse button will not access it either.

Does anyone know if there is a newer version of NAS Navigator2 that will work in Windows 10? If there is no software solution, if I buy a new nas without drives, can I take the drives out of my LS-WXL489, put them into the new nas and will they work? Anyone know???  Any help greatly appreciated.

You need to enable SMB1 on Windows 10 to access this older unit.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebsireland.com and we will get it fixed!

Thanks.  I just enabled smb1. Then downloaded NAS Navigator 3.0.4 and installed it which said it was successfully installed. But the nas still does not show up in explorer under Network nor does the browse button in NAS Navigator do anything. After about a minute, a popup says "The shared folder could not be opened". Any more ideas??

continuing saga...
after much experimenting I have discovered that ZoneAlarm is blocking NAS Navigator even though it is listed as a trusted program. If I "snooze the firewall for 5 minutes" NAS Navigator will run and I can access everything on the nas box.  I have made ZoneAlarm aware if the problem and hope to hear some good news from them in the NEAR future.  Thank you for your help.

might be a few things you need to exclude. NasNavigator detection needs udp broadcast on port 22936, and the communication with the device requires both udp and tcp on 22936 (I think). Then you's also need the standard windows file sharing and web ports for those services (obviously)
