I have the LS220DA89 wired to my home network.  I have all my computers set to use SMB 1 or 2.  I have my NAS set to use SMB 1 or 2.  Every time the NAS is powered down for any reason, I cannot access the storage files until I go back into the NAS to the File Sharing \ SMB setting and save it again.  I do not need to even change it.  But it happens on every power down.

How can I fix my setup.

I feel like that was something they addressed in a recent firmware update. What version of the firmware are you running?

All I can find is a Check For Updates button, when pressed, after a short delay, I get a message saying I have the latest version.  I dont see a version number.

I believe it's in the web interface somewhere though I don't recall where off hand, on some it was on the nva bar on the left but I'm not sure about this model.

Sadly the built-in update check feature doesn't always find the latest version on these devices. If you grab the latest firmware updater and run it the program should show you the current version on the device as part of the detection process. You can get that here:

Thank you.  I updated the firmware via the method you suggested and I can access my files from my computer after a shutdown.
