So to wake your NAS over lan is simple!

Just enable the option in your NAS and using an desktop application or phone application that send packets over port 9 and the NAS will be wake!
To do that just fill your ip,subnet,port,mac on the application you will use to send wake packets.

To do this over WAN(from remote) there will be needed two more things (portforward port 9 and mac binding your NAS ip with you NAS mac)

Using the same application you will send packet to wake up the NAS you have to change only the ip from internal ip to public ip!

Hi there, I know this is an old thread, but did you also find a way to keep the nas awake for the duration of the time you are using your computer?
meaning the stays ON during computer ON time, and the nas turns OFF when the computer is turned OFF.

Like with the windows service does in Win10, keeps sending 'triggers' to keep it awake.

I'm on linux/Zorin.
