Hi,

yesterday I'd the bad idea of  upgrading firmware of my NAS

The first time i'had the answer "couldn't confirm a response from..." so i tried again the upgrade.

The answer was ugrede failure of somethig else and from then my PC don't  recognize the NAS.

I tried the EM mode and TFTP boot procedure but nothing. My PC  stops on "accepting requests.." and doesn't go on.

Someone can halp me o tell me where I mistake?

My OS is windows Viste Home Premium but I tried with XP PRO connected by a cross cable with NAS on the same network  192.168.11.x

try using a cat5e or cat6 direct to the device from a pc.  If that doesn't work and you can get the firmware on it using the tftp boot then there isn't anything else to really try.  You can call in and we can see what else we can try.  Make sure to try safe mode with networking (f8 during startup usually) also turn off any firewalls and antivirus programs.

Hi,

I tried, as you said, the safe mode, it was the only thing I didn't  make, but nothing.

I read the topic LS-WS1.0TGL How to reset password? and I can tell you, if it can be usefull, that the LS don't switch off when I move the power switch to the 'Off' position and the blue light don' stop flashing after the process of startup is complete.

In Italy there's not a technical support, should I call who and what number to have more help?

If my LS is death, as I think, is there a way to restore data directly from HD?

It looks as though there was a physical malfunction with the unit as it is not accepting TFTP requests.  The only option is an RMA (if the units under warranty).  Here is the Italy support number: 848 782113
