LS LIve V1 USB speed question ?

How long would it take to transfer a 4.7GB ISO from a LS LIve V1 like the HS-DH320GL to an external USB hardrive via the Linkstation USB socket ?

When connecting the Buffalo USB socket direct to the PC USB socket do you just need a standard back to back USB lead or do you need some sort of special USB data lead ?

I can answer your first question, at least on my set up. I have a linkstation live and a 2tb usb drive attached to it. Its not a Buffalo usb drive but the speeds should be the same. It is taking about 16 minutes to transfer over about a 5gb file on my system.Hope this helps.

What model is yours as there has been quit a few made over the last few years with different chipsets.

I have the LS-CH1.0T, Like I said its been a pain to set up, its slow as heck, most of the times the Xbox can't find it and the Twonky Sever software is 2 revisions too old, but its working now..(Most of the time)

I wouldnt say love, it works. I wish it were faster. We came across the problem yesterday were 2 people in the house tried to access it for a movie and one of them kept skipping. The wireless laptop was skipping alot while the wired one wasnt. Dont know if it was the LS or my router.
