SKaterle

Hello Folks,

I just got myself a 2TB live link station and it is a nice pice of work. Something I realy missing, is to start and stop the bit torrent client to a given time.

I was reading trough a few pages and I have done the following so far:

Got telnet access to the box.

Verified, that crontab is running

Added the following two jobs to crontab:

50 7 * * 1,2,3,4,5 /etc/init.d/bittorrent.sh stop
10 20 * * 1,2,3,4,5 /etc/init.d/bittorrent.sh start

This should stop the BT frrom Monday till Friday at 7.50 in the morning and restart the BT from Monday to Friday at 8.10 in the evening.

In my global admin interface, the BT is "enabled" and as I don't have much experience with Buffalo so far, here my question:

Will my global configuration attempt to overwrite my crontab jobes and re-activate the BT in my "peak time", where it should be off?

Any comments are more then welcome, as I have not found anything on this board and mother google also has had no advice for me.

Thank you for your asistence in advance.

SK

I have to say that we don't support this, and modification of the firmware voids your warranty.

Does anyone have an answer for SKaterle?
