So I have owned 2 different Lives in the last week and both of them are terrible. Lost connections, 200+errors, and much, much more. I have always loved Buffalo products, I owned a Linkstation Gigabit and it was undestructable. The Live leaves a lot to be desired. So my question is, is the pro much better, has anyone here used both and can honestly tell me its worth the $80 difference? Any help would be very helpful. Thanks

Kameran

Yes and no, I like the ls xhl more then the prevoius ls pro, haven't done enough testing to tell you if it is cost effective to pay the difference.  When in doubt buy a ts3, raid 5 or 10, lot's of options and extensions, pretty fast.

Really? thats your advise? Yow wont even ask me what 200 erros I am getting? Instead you tell me that you dont have experience in both (Don't you work for Buffalo?) and that I should go out and by either a $400 or $900 unit. If I am asking becasue I am worried about spending another $80 what makes  you thing I will spend another $700? Also if I can't get simple support for the unit I have, why would I give Buffalo more of my money? Here is the error I am getting in case you are interested in trouble shooting instead of sales. Just got 18 of these emails this morning after trying to transfer over 4gb from my laptop to a folder in the LS drive.

Cessna/David,  This further proves that you created two other usernames to "back yourself up".  The mod was trying to answer your question, if you had questions about your "200 Errors" then that should have been your topic.  I already had to remove two of your messages...

PCPirahna could you at least have the decency to shoot me an email and let me know why you are banning me from this forum. Once again you ban me but you dont answer my technical questions. The mod was not trying to answer my quesiton, he ignored it and said I should buy another more expensive unit. If this unit is having problems I would like to know what the problem is before its too late. I notice there are hundreds of quesitons here, every morning about 5 get answered and the rest are forgotten. Never to be answered. Have some decency and at least attempt to answer my tech question. If you dont know the answer or if the product is a piece of junk then just say so, that way I can exchange it for different model. Thank you.

It was an opinion question, not a technical one.  He also responded with his input.  We have answered all of your questions, you seem to be extra combative and disrespectful.

You made two names so that you could "back yourself up" and demand answers right away.  You asked 6 questions yesterday and complained at length about the mods not responding to you.  Also of those 6 question, 3 have already been answered by other people earlier this week.  This is a help forum, the best way of going about getting help or questions answered is to be respectful of the people on here.
