Hi

I'm trying to set up email alerts to my Gmail account.

I've followed the instructions in the FAQs but when I send a test message I get the following error

Because of an error, the following process did not complete:Sending test email notification

There is no information about what the error is

Any ideas?

Thanks

You have to go to your Google account and create an app password for the LinkStation. Google won't let you use your regular password for this function.

Thanks but the link says that these are only used for accounts that have 2-Step Verification turned on and I don't.

PoBear

OK

So I added two stage authentication to my Google account and generated a password which I added to the email settings, tried a test message and got exactly the same error message

Double check your server and port settings, sounds like the LinkStation can't reach the mail server.
