My HD-CELU2 formatted...completely

To the tech guys in buffalo,

 

I think i have made my buffalo HD-CELU2 unusable after formatting it to NTFS format. The NAS system doesn't work anymore since all data content have been wiped out from the HD. All that it has become is just a plain external h/d wired to the USB. Can somebody please help me to bring back my external HD to work on NAS? Thanks

The LAN portion of the drive only works with FAT 32 format.  To get LAN back, log on to the WEB Gui and then run the onboard formatting function.  It will format the drive back to FAT 32 to be used with LAN again.

Hey techdude, I've tried doing so but then a 'general error' pop up message came out. There's no way i can format my HD now. Even the restore to factory settings doesn't work. it stops at 37 seconds of rebooting and stayed frozen after that. Maybe i didn't tell you that i formatted my HD by right clicking on the HD in 'my computer' and 'format' it to NTFS format. I am dead sure it only works as normal HD now. Gosh, i wasn't aware of this until it hit me when switching to NAS mode. Please help.

Switch your Flexnet drive back to USB mode by confirming the amber LED light is on.  Go to your computer and reformat the drive back to FAT 32 using your USB connection.  If you google for it, there are instructions on how this can be done with your existing operating system.  Once the drive is reformatted to FAT 32, switch back to LAN mode and use the drive's internal formatting program to reformat the drive again.  If you do not do this, you will have problems with stalling when copying big files.
