 just purchased the above Japanese ID unit and live in japan.

i do not read japanese. and cannot install the software as it doesn't read properly.


really need help

how can i get the english software that runs on this?

my s/n is for japanese support only as buffalo didn't except it.


or do i really need it to use it effeciently?

have english windows 7 64bit
i just need for backup storage and i'm non-technical

any help appreciated thanks

Sorry there are difference between the firmware across multiple regions so we dont' have any specific fixes for english translation.  If Japanese support doesn't have any other ideas, I would recommend returning a device and buying a North American Spec device.

as i live in japan that would be impossible.

 

a)for the purposes of saving data  do i need the english firmware(will the unit function as any other hardrive just more space)?

 

b) what will the english firmware allow me to do?
