I have a 1TB DriveStation FlexNet "HD-CELU2" that I'm trying to using as a NAS on an Windows XP PRO.  When I try to connect to the unit straight out the box I am requested for a userid and password. The drive is formatted as FAT32, should that be changed to another format???  What are the userid and password? I can use drive from USB cord but not as a NAS.

Are you connecting it via usb or Lan? And the unit needs to stay in FAT32. If you are connecting via LAN then you need to connect to it from

Start<run< //theipaddress

Then right click on the share folder and click map network drive. Check re connect at login and it should appear in my computer as a mapped network drive for you to access.
