I am having the same problem.  However, my BitTorrent manager worked just fine until about three weeks ago, when it completely stopped working.  I made no changes to its configuration or anything else about the LinkStation except to change the password.  I have tried suggestions on this board for forcing other ports and the like, but the BitTorrent function continues to be inoperable.

acme2010

I have exactly the same problem.

Bit torrent is not working and this is one of the reason that I bought the LinkStation

I configured the port forwarding and I use a custom port 6882

I put the correct directory \share

Obviously I enable Bit Torrent.

Name:LS-CHL-V28E9Firmware version:1.24

Also I tried to download from the pc and it is working fine.

Please anyone resolve this????

Thanks, Acme

For the LS-CHLv2 and the LS-XHL, there was a firmware update to v 1.31, which focuses on the bittorrent side and the UPS side.  Suggested to try and download the updated firmware to resolve bittorrent complications

I've tried to update my firmware to 1.31, but bittorrent still does not start. Anybody can help me.

Thaitawat

- Initialize the LinkStation. (System-Restore)

- Create new folder for torrent.

- Change download folder to new folder. (Extention-Bittorent)

- Change port to 58500 (Download manager)

acme2010

Thanks, it is working now.:smileyvery-happy:

Best regards, Acme

pojm

It's also working now for me.

Thanks so much.:smileyhappy:

Just tried this twice and it still isn't working for me.

I can add a torrent to the download manager, it shows it as "downloading" but it remains "inactive" and never starts downloading.

Thaitawat

- Try to other torrent server it same problem?

- BitTorrent on PC can download or not.

I have a Mac. How do I update the firmware to 1.31-.34? I can't see any downloads for Macs that fresh, only 1.02. Windows has 1.34.

Hi Thaitawat,

Tried using your method, works fine but, unfortunately it only works for a while. After that everything stops again. 0 seeders 0 peers. However when I try loading the same torrents on my desktop, everything works fine. Any idea on what I may be doing wrong?

mark0203

I have the exact same problem.

Torrent can be added to the download manager, but does not start (gray arrow instead of green).

When clicking force start the download starts and works just fine. But it should start by default as this has worked before without problems.

On PC torrents are no problems at all.

Port forwarded correctly.

upnp is on as well.

Tried different port, no help.

Tried disabling and activating the torrent download manager, no help.

No updates available anymore (4TB Linkstation LS-WXL firmware version 1.56)

Any idea's how to solve this? maybe a fix in the new formware?

mcchuk

same as me, my one brought 1 month ago, The BT is not start..   I have update the fireware, and do the above suggestions but it does work..  My other machines ( PC , mediaplayer(with BT function), and router(USB port)  BT working without problem ??

kenkam

I have the same issue, my BT has not started and all seed is 0% suddenly since last 2 weeks. Also, I haven't changed any configuration of my airstation as well. I wonder if anything i can do to fix it as the bittorrent feature is not working anymore.

My version is

WZR-HP-G300NH Ver.1.79 (R1.03/B1.07)

By the way, is there any apps which can help us to upload the seed remotely through ipad or android phone?

Thanks a lot

Ken
