My old Terastation failed after several years. So what. No problem since I am sure that the HDs are still ok. Things are made easier because all HDs were formatted seperately without RAID as SHARE1, SHARE2, SHARE3 and SHARE4.

Now I tried being smart. Took a screa driver and removed all 4 HDs from the broken Terastation. Then I took a special USB-cable and connected the first HD to another of my terastations as an USB drive. No problem because I can access that HD as an USB now. However, all I can do is accessing its first 300 mb partiction with the system files. I've no clue about Linux and don't know how to access the partitions with the data. It seems that the each HD does have 4 partitions, 1 with my data and 3 for the system.

Please help me and tell me how I can access the data on that HD if I connect it via USB to a terastation. I don't care for the system files in partition 1, I just want to retrieve my data from partition 3! Many thanks. It's 1 tb and would help me a lot since I now know that the HDs are alright.

The TS only mounts the first partition on a USB drive, so you need to use a linux machine/live CD
