Upgrade computer to Windows 7 - problem writing to Linkstation

Hi,

 

I just upgraded my desktop PC from Windows Vista (SP2 - 64 bit) to Windows 7 (64 bit).  The upgrade was not a problem and everything else seems to work, except when I write to the Linkstation, it locks up in mid process and I have to reboot the Linkstation to regain access.   I have 4 other computers that are all Vista and do not have any problems writing.  I can read and access files, but  I now have to copy edited files to a flashdrive and do the file transfers from the other computers to the Linksstation.  Any help appreciated:

 

The equipment is:

1) Buffalo Linkstation HS-DH500GL

2) firmware version 1.11

3) 301 GB of 464 GB are free memory (a little more than 1/4 of storge space in use).

How are you writing to it?  Also update to the latest firmware (version 2.11, you may have just had a typo in the post)

Thanks - reviewing my version in the NASNavigator2 utility (version 2.22) I noticed something that does not add up.  The gray box NAS says Gigabit Linkstation and the bottom label says HS-DH500GL (S/N 19883370319730) , but the NAS Naviagator2 is saying LS-500GL version 1.11 and says the same when I login to the web UI (Model Name LS-GL F/W 1.11).  FYI, this unit was sent in for repair about 2 years ago.

 

Should I upgrade to HS-DH500GL version 2.11 or LS-500GL?  And if LS-500GL what version since I can't find in the index lookup?

It won't accept the Hs-HDGL firmware so use the LSGL (its on our site, I double checked).  The hardware is nearly identical between the two devices.
