LS-500GL problems help :-( Failed in firmware update

Hello All I have a LS-500GL that has gone into error. After I had to physically move it from one room to another, so it seemed nothing more. I could see it with the Navigator program that comes with, but could not open the shared folders. I then updated the firmware in it, and it failed in installation. Now start it up with an error that should be: Fan defect (4 flash error part) Can I get my data from the box using a program or do I have to buy a new box, before I can get my data uot off the disc?

Try seeing if you are able to do a force firmware.  If you can open your init file from the extracted files from the firmware download using the notepad.  Change it to this.  Change these two parts and add this at the end or check out the knowledge base.  A direct connect to the ls with a good range ip address set.

I understand your answer, about changing the firmware file. But how do I entering it, when the program does not find it?

Subsequently, I found out that the hard disk that sits in the box, is deffekt.
It is perhaps for this reason that the firmware update failed.

Has anyone here a solution to get the box to work again?

I can still not communicate with it. The Navigator program does not find it.

So success to me to get the box to work. It turned out that under the firmware update, my hard drive was dead, so the firmware update failed.
I looked around here in the forums and found this solution:

I used the TFTP Boot software and it just works ..!
