Hello,

I have the LS-CHL

firmware 1.07

I am trying to get power management to work, the documention is very cryptic. My Question: The main power switch has three positions - What is the right setting of this switch **bleep**?

Regards, Ronald

I would suspect the settings are 'Off', 'On', and 'Auto'.

The 'right settings' depend on what you want to happen:

  • if you don't want to use it at all, the right setting is 'Off';
  • if you want it to be on all the time, the right setting is 'On';
  • if you want it to be woken up by the NAS Power Management Service when you turn your PC on, and shut down when you turn your PC off, the right setting is 'Auto'.  (Allow about a minute in each case.)

Of course to have the "NAS Power Management Service" available, you need to have installed the Buffalo software...

Right - when the switch is set to Auto, NASNavi keeps it awake by sending keep-alive packets.
