Hello , I've recently buyied a used nas and I removed the old drives and replaced with 2 brand new drives the old drives was formatted so I cannot recover from the old drives. I've tried to download the USB tools into the 5000 series but does not working. Is there a way to recover?

I believe Buffalo Support can provide you an SD card with the official image on it for a fee.

Once you get it started with the recovery disk you can follow the steps mentioned in this post to complete the install:
