Formatted Drive

We recently had our first drive failure in our Buffalo Terastation 3400. I sent the drive and a different set of instructions was followed rather than the one for replacing a drive and rebuilding the array. The new drive was formatted via the web GUI. As the instructions show, the new drive cannot be formatted and if it is it cannot be used to rebuild the array.

Is there any way to fix this via the web GUI, the instructions do not give any direction on this. Right now I'm left with buying another new disk and sending it, but hoping there is a better way.

Thanks in advance!

There is, remove the drive via GUI (dismount disk) and then press rediscover disc. It will then show as unformatted again.

Yep, that did it! Thank you very much saved us time and/or a trip to our data center.
