I have a Link Station live with an external Drive Station attached to it that i've been doing back ups on. i'm unable to connect to the linkstation and i'm not sure why. This problem occurred after a power outage. I want to get to the back ups on the drive station so i took the usb cable and attached it to my intel mac. however, the mac complained that the format of the device was unreadable and asked if i'd like to format it. obviously i didn't do that b/c it would erase the backup data. any idea how i can access the data on the drive station w/o a linkstation?

What format was it in?  XFS or Fat 32?  Im assuming XFS since mac didnt recognize it.  If this is the case you will want to hook the drive up to a linux computer.
