I keep receiving the following warning email from my Link Station Quad. As you can see it's missing any useful detail, none of the status lights for the device indicate any issue and running a check on the disks also yields no information (just more emails). My concern is that if there is a bad disk or disks I'm going to loose my data and as of right now I have no idea which if any of the disks is having issues. Also I have had this for just over a month now and have pretty much been getting these errors all along.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

If none of the drive lights are blinking indicating a drive fauilre and if the unit hasnt gone into degrade mode then it appears that there isnt a bad HD.  What firmware do you have for the unit?  It could just be the firmware got corrupted and its send bogus messages.  If you dont have the most recent firmware update it and if you do have the most recent then reflash it.  You said that your gonna lose your data?  You didnt set up a RAID on the unit?

Thanks for the quick response,

I put the latest firmware on it the day I got it. But I haven't tried reflashing yet, I'll try that tonight. The statement I made about being concerned with loosing data was more around getting these emails but not having any real details as to what the issue is. None of the indicators indicate an issue on the device itself and it is configured as RAID5, I just can't help being peronoid since I have soo much data on there and keep getting these emails every time I access it.

I'll try the reflashing and provide an update with my results.

I was able to re-update the firmware and run some tests and it appears that the error message no longer happens.

Thanks for your help!
