Linkstation Mini with Macs - leave ON all the time OK?

Hi - I have the Linkstation Mini LS-WSGL/R1 F/W 1.06 setup and it's working great with Time Machine, as my iTunes server, and with Web access.  Several Macs are connecting to it including MacBook Pros.  My understanding from all the reviews is that the Auto function doesn't work with Macs.

Is it OK to leave the Mini in the "always ON" mode, or is it not designed for continuous duty like this?

Thanks!!
